President Barack Obama and his Republican challenger Mitt Romney both campaigned in the same state yesterday - the battleground state of Ohio. Obama was in Cleveland, Romney in Cincinnati - and they both talked about the same thing: the economy.

SOT - President Barack Obama
"There's one place where I stand in complete agreement with my opponent: this election is about our economic future." (:08)

SOT - Mitt Romney, Republican presidential candidate
"He wants four more years. He may have forgotten he talked about a one-term proposition if he couldn't get the economy turned around in three years. But we're going to hold him to his word." (:10)

More from both of them after this...

((( BREAK )))

Here's what President Obama and Mitt Romney told their Ohio audiences...

SOT - President Barack Obama
"The debate in this election is about how we grow faster - (applause begins) - and how we create more jobs, and how we pay down our debt. That's the question facing the American voter. (applause)" (:12)

SOT - Mitt Romney
"Then he'll say, well, but the things he's been doing have been good and helped created growth and put people back to work. Oh, really? Go check on that." (:09)

SOT - President Barack Obama
"Our businesses have gone back to basics, and created over four million jobs in the last 27 months - (applause) - more private sector jobs than were created during the entire seven years before this crisis." (:15)

SOT - Mitt Romney
"I want more good jobs for the American people - and I want to help the middle class of America, and I'm going to do it. (applause)" (:07)

SOT - President Barack Obama
"If you want to give the policies of the last decade another try, then you should vote for Mr. Romney." (:06)

SOT - Mitt Romney
"Talk is cheap. Actions speaks loudly. Look what's happened across this country ... I think he's made it harder for the American enterprise system to work - and I want to change that." (:09)

That's not all they said - but you get the picture.
